MEV House Tug (HT-1) — Modular Electric Heavy-Load Platform
The MEV House Tug (HT-1) is a next-generation, fully electric heavy-load tug designed for precision movement of large structures, prefab housing modules, industrial trailers, and oversized equipment in both indoor and outdoor environments. Built around MEV’s durability-first electric architecture, the HT-1 prioritizes extreme low-speed torque, operator control, and modular adaptability over traditional high-speed performance.
At its core, the HT-1 uses a low-center-of-gravity chassis with a solid-state battery pack concept mounted beneath the operator deck, delivering exceptional stability under heavy loads. A dual-motor AWD configuration provides precise torque vectoring and traction control, allowing millimeter-level creep movement for alignment-critical operations such as house placement, dock positioning, or module staging.
Modular Rear Attachment System
The HT-1 is engineered as a multi-role platform, featuring a reinforced modular rear attachment plate that supports rapid interchangeability without redesigning the base vehicle. Supported and concept-ready attachments include:
Heavy-duty pintle hitch for industrial trailers and carts
Tow pin / drawbar module for house movers and prefab carriers
Fifth-wheel adapter plate for specialized transport dollies
Hydraulic height-adjustable hitch module to accommodate varying load interfaces
Fork-pocket and push-plate adapters for warehouse and staging operations
This modular system allows a single HT-1 unit to replace multiple specialized tugs, reducing fleet complexity and increasing utilization.
Dual-Environment Configuration
The platform is offered in two optimized configurations:
Indoor Configuration
Smooth, non-marking industrial tires
Ultra-quiet electric operation
Precision creep and auto-hold functions
White LED work lighting with glare control
360° camera system and alignment guidance
Outdoor Configuration
All-terrain, foam-filled industrial tires
Reinforced steel bumpers and skid plates
Polyurea-coated battery impact zones
Amber hazard lighting and high-visibility LED arrays
Weather-sealed electronics and heated wheel wells
Advanced Operator Cockpit
The HT-1 cockpit is designed as a human-centered industrial control station, not a traditional vehicle interior. Features include:
Detachable MEV control tablet for diagnostics, cameras, and load data
Dedicated displays for power, traction, and system health
Large glove-friendly toggles for mission-critical functions
Integrated camera feeds for rear hitch alignment
Heated floor, steering wheel, and climate-controlled enclosed cab
Engineering Intent
The MEV House Tug HT-1 demonstrates a scalable electric industrial platform capable of replacing diesel yard tractors, forklifts, and specialized movers. Its modular attachment strategy, solid-state battery concept, and precision control systems position it as a future-ready solution for prefab construction, logistics hubs, ports, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
