Designed from the ground up to withstand all forms of weather—including severe cold, high winds, flooding, heavy snow, and extended power outages—both systems integrate large, on-site solid-state energy storage (ESS) as a standard feature rather than an afterthought.
At the heart of each home and apartment complex is a high-capacity solid-state battery backup system, housed in reinforced, climate-controlled enclosures. These ESS units provide long-duration, zero-emission backup power for critical loads such as heating and cooling, refrigeration, lighting, medical devices, communications, and security systems. Solid-state chemistry offers enhanced thermal stability, extended lifespan, and improved safety compared to conventional lithium-ion systems, making it ideal for residential and multi-family use.
StormShield Homes pair this energy resilience with a hardened building envelope, featuring impact-resistant materials, airtight construction, advanced insulation, and smart ventilation systems that maintain indoor air quality during extreme conditions. FortressCore Apartments scale the same technology to a community level. Centralized solid-state battery banks support common areas, life-safety systems, elevators, and critical resident loads, while optional microgrid configurations allow buildings to operate independently during extended grid failures. Smart energy management continuously balances generation, storage, and consumption to maximize uptime and efficiency.
